Interactive Voting - Local Government, Decision Making examples

Whether at department or committee  level, decisions are made on a daily basis.
The electronic voting system enables these decisions to be made quickly and concisely by asking members to vote on a question,  choosing one of the options displayed.  Results are instantaneous and the data is stored to be used within the reporting facility at a later date.

There are several features within the system which facilitate decision-making. The priority ranking element enables council members to rank answer options in order of importance. This is invaluable when deciding how budgets and public money should be spent.

The comparison facility highlights changes in opinions.  For example,  council members may vote initially to spend money on providing new public facilities. However, after seeing reports based on a public consultation meeting indicating that the public wishes more funding to be spent on street lighting, the council may alter its original decision.

The demographic feature indicates  whether one group is significantly more likely to be affected by a decision than another group. This may change the original outcome.
