June 2005:
Eurosis goes Stateside! The company recently visited suppliers in the
US to see the advancements that are taking place in the electronic
voting industry. As well as meeting some of our regular suppliers, we
also made contact with a company that manufactures credit card sized
keypads. These will be available for purchase at a very attractive
price. For more information, please contact the Sales team on 020 8670
9351.
In July 2005, the United Kingdom took over the European Presidency and
Eurosis is proud to announce that we have been contracted to work on
many of the events connected with this. The amount of work that the
Presidency brings obviously means that equipment and personnel are in
short supply during this period; so if you are thinking of holding a
meeting before the 31st December 2005, please book early.
February 2006:
Ever wished that you could write your own electronic voting session
using PowerPoint? Well now you can. A new product enables users to
write their own presentation in PowerPoint using all of the attributes
that PowerPoint has at its disposal. The software integrates 100% with
Microsoft Office and allows the user to write, deliver, assess, and
report all within MS Office. For more information on this product,
please contact the Sales team on 020 8670 9351.
New generation keypads have recently been launched and are available
to purchase through EVS. The new keypads are credit card sized and
weigh about 1oz, making them extremely portable. Available with
custom-built carry cases, a whole system can be transported in just
one small bag. For more information, please contact the sales team on

EVS has recently purchased new keypads that offer more voting
flexibility compared to that of the standard Reply keypad. Standard
features of the IQ keypad include multiple-digit entry, individual and
group messaging, “raised hand” option button and time
stamping for accurate speed scoring. The keypad also features
moment-to-moment polling, and a large graphics LCD to display multiple
lines of text.
April 2006:
A new 2.4GhZ keypad has been launched which can be used worldwide. The
Reply worldwide keypad has a sleek, modern look and is a low cost
version of the standard Reply keypad. Features include: high
resolution time stamping; speed scoring ("fastest finger") as well as
three special keys for user defined functions. It also allows existing
Reply-enabled applications to be used.
Our technicians have been very busy lately travelling with our
simultaneous interpretation systems and electronic voting keypads.
Places recently worked include Singapore, Jordan, Milan, Paris, Malmo,
Marrakech,Dusseldorf and Athens.
May 2006:
The Concentus microphone system is the latest addition to the Bosch
Digital Congress Network (DCN) range. The desktop microphone combines
top-quality acoustical performance and advanced functionality with a
striking design. Installation is straightforward, and adding elements
or changing the configuration is easy. This also means that a system
and its functionality can be easily matched to the exact needs of a
specific venue.
Try our new online web demonstration! Simply schedule a suitable time
and one of our consultants will present the voting demonstration to
you online, with the ability to ask questions as you would normally in
a face-to-face meeting. All that is required is a telephone, and a
computer with Internet access. For more information please see our web
demonstration page under the Electronic Voting Systems menu.
January 2007:
We have noticed that the expansion of the EU has led to an increase in the number of
different languages required by our clients. Eurosis has a register of over 1300 qualified
simultaneous interpreters and in recent months we have had requests for interpreters in
Slovenian, Latvian and Lithuanian.
Eurosis has recently added wireless digital conference microphone systems to our rental stock.
Taping down microphone cables is a thing of the past and a wireless microphone system is
ideal for a boardroom style or cabaret style meeting.
2006 was a year of travel for both our equipment operators and interpreters. We provided
simultaneous interpretation services and electronic voting services in locations as far afield
as Marrakech, Jordan, Goa, Dublin, Paris, Budapest, Warsaw, Prague, Russelsheim,
Amsterdam, Rome, Brussels, Athens, Venice and Dusseldorf.
